OK, I
was going to wait and put this up at the end of the month when I had it all re-fined and stuff like that, but I though... meh, why not? :3
This is my entry to a competition I'm going to in march called State VASE here in good old Texas. I asked my Art 2 teacher If I could enter one of my digital pieces into the compaction this year and she said yes (Oh meh gaud)

I'll will enter this one or another that I have all set up (I just need to finish coloring it >.<) I'll need to work hard cause last year's was stiff competition. O-O
anyways, If I don't choose this one, I'll still have to finish it cause my grandma wants a printed copy.

I'll update this deviation, once I'm finished, with a higher rez version later.
Hope you likes first time drawing houses, inspired by more FZD design school. XD

Looking at the scene, the perspective informs us of the vast scale of the landscape, where the detail fades into the distance. Additionally, the framing of the elements helps this, as well creating focal points. The framing itself is wonderful, where the meandering path takes us on a journey through the village and towards the forest and mountains.
The brush strokes combine textures and lighting into one, adding depth to the scene. I like how you’ve used lighting to create a smooth transition between the different enviromments, as well as establish a mood for each. In the foreground, the lighting is quite dark, inducing an eerie and ominous atmosphere. The warm orange glow illuminates the darkness and contrasts well, create a striking appearance. Some of the houses look like screaming faces, furthermore adding to the mood of this environment. Additionally, the way the lighting illuminates the fences at the nearest house suggests how cold and damp it is. The background is quite a contrast, where the colours are lighter and the white tones induce a calm and pleasant atmosphere. The birds soaring in the skies represent freedom.
Fantastic work.
