A gift art for [link], a great friend going through some very rough times. This is my horrible attempt at making her feel just a smudge better. Her character flying with some crows. I used to have this crazy idea that when one of my pets died (or any animal I loved really) their souls would turn into a crow or some other amazing bird and fly off into the clouds because I couldn’t think/see it any other way than that. Rest in peace Mala :)

Inspierd purly by this ->[link] and a few pictures of the clouds outside my home.

I wish I was still as eloquent with words as I once was, and I'm sorry it has taken me so long to see this and respond...and even now, I still don't know what to say...as much as this piece is stunning, the reason and meaning behind it is what choked me up the most..."thank you" will never be a strong enough phrase for something like this but right now, it's all I have to offer...

Great picture (missing Dome Details in the Background ;) )
May i ask how you shade?

What do you mean 'how do I shade'? Like, my judgment of colors, lights, and shape or the filters I use?

Sorry XD I really like the fur of the wolf. It looks really interesting and realistic. Did you use special brushes, special layer-option (multiply...) or something other. How did you made this great shadow in the fur?

Get it ? ^^; My english is crappy, I know...

I used in this image(from what I remember) a steady 'multiply', light 'overlay', strong 'color doge', weak 'soft light', and many layers *carefully used* of 'divide's. I use no real special brushes just a soft round brush, normally ranging 3-9 in size for fur and 5-20 for shade or color applying. I use pressure stativity for fur all the time, but never when I shade. I used to follow reffs on fur flow, but now I can make my own up. My real advise would be to just play with the filters and try to keep things smooth, but also full of texture ;) reffs are nice, but don't use them all the time, give you brain time to think and have imagination. I think that your question has greatly helped in what I will explain in my tutorial I'm trying to make. ^_^ thank you!
Oh, your english is perfectly fine :)
